TaKimono

Takimono an essential couture piece

During the creation of the GDV collection, the Yamashiro silhouette inspired the birth of the Takimonos. I deeply admire Japanese culture: its art celebrates precise gesture, discreet refinement and attention to detail. Each creation translates a silent elegance, born of patience and respect for craftsmanship.

Thus, in homage to the Japan I cherish, I immersed myself in the art of kimono making and drew inspiration to bring the first Takimono to life — a patient gesture where respect for craft and the pursuit of silent elegance mingle.

A unique piece

Takimonos are unique pieces, hand‑sewn in France. They exist as single exemplars or in very small series, depending on the model and fabric. The choice of materials favors cut, drape, comfort and meticulous finishes. Consequently, each Takimono is designed to last and become a distinctive piece in your wardrobe. POP - TAKIMONO

The POP Takimono displays an exotic print and vivid colors. Its original cut features a neon orange neoprene neckline, lapel‑style cutouts and a black satin trim that outlines the sleeve edges. This model embodies energy and audacity.

LUX - TAKIMONO

The LUX Takimono is a couture piece where elegance and attention to detail meet. Made from silk‑based fabrics, it features subtle decorative touches on the sleeves and front, along the neckline. Fully lined, it can also be worn reversible,
offering two styles in one piece.

Noham from the GDV collection

The Noham silhouette combines technicality and character. From sketch to final stitch, I brought patience and passion, inspired by desert nomads. I integrated a Takimono, referencing tunics — a detachable hooded top with a back cutout and a cinching system to close the piece — a knitted‑jersey Takimono, trimmed with a gold bias at the sleeve edges and neckline.

A small gesture for a great cause

Faced with current climate challenges, the fashion industry must commit and reinvent itself to reduce its footprint via manufacturing and sourcing processes that favor circularity and durability.
